The GPK file extension is used on the WaveLab software application to identify peak audio files. GPK audio files store summaries of sound wave data used in WaveLab audio files. GPK peak audio files are enabled for rapid loading to optimize audio file performance in the WaveLab program. GPK files are automatically created with WaveLab whenever an audio file is opened with the program. GPK files are not pre-set to delete after use, but WaveLab can be user-configured to remove them. GPK files can be edited with the appropriate software.
